Ken and Christy Burke have undertaken a large renovation on their older home outside Chevy Chase in Lexington. The project was designed by the prestigious local Architectural Firm of Pohl, Rosa, Pohl. This project was both a whole house renovation and an addition. It has gained some major attention locally as a Net Zero home.
Ken and Christy are the consummate do it yourselfers that have mastered many crafts. They completed the inside and outside painting, trim, hardwood floors, rails and stairs and much more!
The first floor has a new walk out deck across the back of the house with a covered porch. The main floor features a large office, foyer, very functional chefs kitchen, dining room, large living room with half bath and tech area. The second floor features two guest bedrooms, a large master bedroom suite with 2 vanities walk-in shower, soaking tub and ample closet space. There also another full bath laundry and large walk in master closet.
I hope you enjoy seeing this beautiful, NET ZERO and functional home the Burkes’s worked very hard on! Please read on… as all of us have put in a lot of hard work and want to show it off to you!
