Anthony bought a nice home overlooking a lake in Richmond. The only problem was it needed some serious updating. He got a loan through Benchmark Mortgage in Lexington and they recommended us as the contractor. With his FHA 203b loan Anthony and CMA created this beautiful new home!

Jeff loves living on the Kentucky RIver but hated getting wet every time the river flooded. What was the solution? Raise his house two foot above the Army Corps Of Engineers 100 year flood elevation.

Interested in some construction specifics?  The decking was treated 5/4 screwed into the joists. The joists are treated 2by8s, the beams 2by10 treated. The beams are bolted to the 6by6 vertical posts with carriage bolts. The 6by6 treated posts are anchored into the ground in bag mix. From an engineering standpoint, this is the best method to anchor your posts in the ground.(far better that incasing them in concrete) All fasteners are galvanized and all joists secured with joist hangers. The spindles are treated 2by2's and no section of the rail or ramp will have an opening more that 4 inches which is Kentucky Building Code. The ramp has no less than a 48 inch clearance between inside rails.

Westmoreland is an older upscale developed subdivision in a great location where residents are comfortable upgrading their homes because the property values support the renovations and it is hard to find comparable properties around Lexington.

Addition and renovation of an existing one story ranch home in Scott County.

1,250 Square Foot Renovation

This renovation project included the addition of a new front entrance porch and roof system to accent the existing structure. The interior renovation included removal and reconfiguration of the interior walls for the master bath, living and dining areas, inclusion of a new walk-in kitchen pantry area and new attic access. The exterior porch addition features Genstone, a new faux (styrofoam) stone veneer material.

This renovation and addition is located in a historic district off of South Main Street in downtown Lexington.

This addition/renovation was completed on a beautiful 118 year old historic home. It features a 413 square foot master bedroom suite addition adjoining a 204 sq ft screened sunroom.

Dr. Paul and Leann Turley's family is growing. They wanted to finish out their basement into a new multi-purpose room. Paul likes to play in a band so a small sound stage would be nice, a theatre system with surround sound was a must, a wet bar, an additional bathroom, more shelving and storage space, a new salt water aquarium, a decorative waterfall and a nice place for the kids to play were all requirements for our designers.

The Turley's solicited proposals from three local general contractors and Construction Mangement Associates was selected. This selection was based on the best proposal. Paul said we were not the cheapest... but that he felt our proposed package was the most professional and was the best fit for his needs.

This 1,450 square foot basement renovation features a decorative waterfall at the bottom of the stairs, accenting your entry into this newly renovated space. We created a storage room behind the waterfall and another around the corner with additional shelving for storage in both.

The main room showcases a brick walled stage with dark hardwood on the floor. The stage does double duty as a focal point for a big screen theatre room system. Behind the theatre room is a counter with stools for lounging, chatting or watching the big screen. Behind the counter is a full wetbar with sink, wine rack and storage cabinets. To the rear of the wetbar is a half bath.

A new salt water acquarium opens into the bar area on one side and the great room/play area for the kids on the other.The coral is being shipped from the Pacific Ocean and the fish will be introduced when the aquarium environment is just right. A bit of a wait but this accent will be top notch!

Mark and Jackie Klee wanted to remove an old brick patio and replace it with a new screened in porch, as well as repair multiple problems with their basement foundation. After submitting the successful proposal... CMA began the new design and construction!

This project consisted of the removal of 700 sq ft of an existing brick porch. Once we removed the porch, we excavated against the foundation wall, tied steel and poured a concrete wall to repair the existing basement walls. We then poured a colored stamped concrete floor and built a new screened in room. We reworked the home roof drainage, replaced sidewalks and sealed brick. The exterior basement entrance had failing block retaining walls that we removed and replaced with new reinforced concrete walls covered with a colored dryvit finish.
