Tucker Renovation – Lexington, KY

Tucker Renovation - Lexington, KY

Dr. Brian and Becky Tucker recently closed on their dream home situated on a local horse farm. Their home was newly renovated but they wanted to open the floor plan up, remove the dated sunken living room, add a pantry off the kitchen, install new hardwood floors, add a new energy efficient fireplace and as well as two double french doors to the greatroom.

After a couple of meetings CMA was selected as the contractor for their new home renovation. They wanted to be actively involved in their build but also wanted to have a construction manager to take care of the day to day responsibilites of the build. They both worked full time, so they did not want to do our UBuildIt program... so CMA was the right choice.

I hope you enjoy seeing Dr. Brian and Beckys wonderful newly renovated home. They were a lot of fun to work with. Please read on... as all of us have put in a lot of hard work and want to show it off to you!

Thanks to Dr, Brian and Becky who were the just the best to work with! Also, as usual our subs and suppliers did a great job on this renovation. We all appreciate you guys!

Anthony Johnson Renovation – Richmond, KY

Anthony Johnson Renovation - Richmond, KY

Melton Renovation – River Road – Harrodsburg, KY

Melton Renovation - River Road - Harrodsburg, KY

Jeff loves living on the Kentucky RIver but hated getting wet every time the river flooded. What was the solution? Raise his house two foot above the Army Corps Of Engineers 100 year flood elevation.

Interested in some construction specifics?  The decking was treated 5/4 screwed into the joists. The joists are treated 2by8s, the beams 2by10 treated. The beams are bolted to the 6by6 vertical posts with carriage bolts. The 6by6 treated posts are anchored into the ground in bag mix. From an engineering standpoint, this is the best method to anchor your posts in the ground.(far better that incasing them in concrete) All fasteners are galvanized and all joists secured with joist hangers. The spindles are treated 2by2's and no section of the rail or ramp will have an opening more that 4 inches which is Kentucky Building Code. The ramp has no less than a 48 inch clearance between inside rails.

McCann Addition - Westmoreland Estates - Lexington, KY

Mike McCann came our our UBuildIt Home Building Seminar and decided to have us build an addition on their beautiful home is at 3557 Gloucester Drive in Westmoreland Estates off Versalles Road in Lexington.

Westmoreland is an older upscale developed subdivision in a great location where residents are comfortable upgrading their homes because the property values support the renovations and it is hard to find comparable properties around Lexington.

Dr. Turley Renovation – Beaumont Subdivision – Lexington, KY

Dr. Turley Renovation - Beaumont Subdivision - Lexington, KY

Dr. Paul and Leann Turley's family is growing. They wanted to finish out their basement into a new multi-purpose room. Paul likes to play in a band so a small sound stage would be nice, a theatre system with surround sound was a must, a wet bar, an additional bathroom, more shelving and storage space, a new salt water aquarium, a decorative waterfall and a nice place for the kids to play were all requirements for our designers.

The Turley's solicited proposals from three local general contractors and Construction Mangement Associates was selected. This selection was based on the best proposal. Paul said we were not the cheapest... but that he felt our proposed package was the most professional and was the best fit for his needs.

This 1,450 square foot basement renovation features a decorative waterfall at the bottom of the stairs, accenting your entry into this newly renovated space. We created a storage room behind the waterfall and another around the corner with additional shelving for storage in both.

The main room showcases a brick walled stage with dark hardwood on the floor. The stage does double duty as a focal point for a big screen theatre room system. Behind the theatre room is a counter with stools for lounging, chatting or watching the big screen. Behind the counter is a full wetbar with sink, wine rack and storage cabinets. To the rear of the wetbar is a half bath.

A new salt water acquarium opens into the bar area on one side and the great room/play area for the kids on the other. The coral is being shipped from the Pacific Ocean and the fish will be introduced when the aquarium environment is just right. A bit of a wait but this accent will be top notch!

Klee Addition – Green Briar Subdivision – Lexington, KY

Klee Addition - Green Briar Subdivision - Lexington, KY

Mark and Jackie Klee wanted to remove an old brick patio and replace it with a new screened in porch, as well as repair multiple problems with their basement foundation. After submitting the successful proposal... CMA began the new design and construction!

This project consisted of the removal of 700 sq ft of an existing brick porch. Once we removed the porch, we excavated against the foundation wall, tied steel and poured a concrete wall to repair the existing basement walls. We then poured a colored stamped concrete floor and built a new screened in room. We reworked the home roof drainage, replaced sidewalks and sealed brick. The exterior basement entrance had failing block retaining walls that we removed and replaced with new reinforced concrete walls covered with a colored dryvit finish.
