Karrer Home – Sadieville, KY

Bill and Karen Karrer built their unique dream home in Sadieville down the road from Georgetown in a rural Scott County. They have a nice farm in the pristine countryside. Bill is retired and has been very active in the build. This home is a very different type of construction than the average home. It is built of SIPS or structurally insulated panels on all the exterior walls and roof panels. The panels are prebuilt at the factory and installed on site. These are placed with the help of our carpenters and a crane.

When you construct a SIPS house all your mechanicals have to be ready to go in the wall with locations determined in the factory as the panels are basically 2 pieces of OSB with foam sandwiched inside. Lots of pre planning needs to go into a home with this construction.

There is a 1,293 SF full finished basement, the main floor has 1,422 SF, the garage has 1,032 SF. The main floor features a conference room with fireplace, large kitchen, sunroom, walk in pantry, half bath, large master office suite with 2 vanities, walk-in shower, soaking tub and ample closet space. There is a deck as well as another half bath laundry and 3.5 car garage.

In the basement there is a lower conference room, kitchenette, 2 other offices a full bath and storage room.

I hope you enjoy seeing this beautiful, energy efficient and functional home that Bill and Karen have designed and worked very hard on!
